Case Studies: ZipSend/Frog Magic
Herrerias & Associates
has served ZipSend/Frog Magic in three related areas: recruiting,
training, and facilitation.
We were initially
brought into ZipSend to recruit a Sr. Vice President Marketing. After
successfully placing a Business Development Director and a Chief
Technology Officer, we kept in touch with our client via ongoing
conversations with the CEO Rob Hansen. When ZipSend's funding looked
questionable, we introduced them to several capital sources. With an
unsettled future, ZipSend then asked us to train its employees on
interviewing techniques and resume writing. At the 11th hour, Rob and
Jared Polis, then Chairman/CEO of FrogMagic, crafted a merger of their two
organizations. Herrerias & Associates was asked to organize and facilitate
a strategic planning session designed to integrate the two organizations
in their focus, strategy, and functional expertise. At the end of two
days, the comments included:

Case Studies: Cerent
Corporation
During H&A's 14- month
involvement with Cerent Corporation, they grew from just under 100
employees to over 200 employees (eight key engineering and marketing
directors and managers placed by H&A!), they brought a revolutionary
telecommunication product out of R&D and into the market, and they were
purchased by Cisco Systems for a record $6.9 Billion.
This represents a great
example of how quickly our firm responds to the dynamic needs of a fast
growing company in the technology arena. This Pre-IPO
telecommunications-engineering firm was founded by talented and high
profile telecommunications engineers who had and agenda. Our ability to
quickly come up to speed with their technology, recruit key marketing,
sales and engineering directors and managers (representing over 8% of all
the hires completed during this fast growth period) are good examples of
how Herrerias & Associates integrates itself into the culture and needs of
our clients. This company has become Cisco Systems Optical Transport
Division and all of the H&A candidates are still, as of this date, pivotal
members of this important Cisco operation.
