Biographies
Paul K. Herrerias,
MA, CPA, has over twenty years of Executive
Search and Leadership Consulting service to Bay
Area organizations. He is the founder of three
search and consulting businesses, consultant to
Bay Area companies, and has acted as an advisor
to over one thousand professionals in their
career development. His professional career
affiliations also include Deloitte & Touche and
KPMG Peat Marwick.
His understanding of organizations is further
enhanced by an active CPA license, over twenty
years as a business owner, and a Master's degree
in Organization Development and Human Resources
(MHROD) and Bachelors in Business
Administration, both from the University of San
Francisco. Additionally, he serves on the State
Board of the California Society of CPAs. He is
the recipient of the San Francisco Chapter's
Golden Quill Award for Outstanding Leadership.
Mr. Herrerias has become well known as an expert
speaker in leadership and career development
through talks to community, professional, alumni
and trade organizations in the Bay Area and the
state. He founded, and was a seminar leader for,
The LIBRA Group, an educational organization
dedicated to the development of leaders,
professionals and organizations.
Mr. Herrerias has performed hundreds of searches
for Bay Area companies, from young professionals
to CEOs, and he has an extensive network in the
business community. Clients value Mr. Herrerias'
responsiveness, sensitivity, attention to and
understanding of corporate cultures, accurate
screening, and tenacity in pursuing the best
candidate.

Carrie
Cianfichi joined Herrerias & Associates after four years with the executive search firm, Benchmark Consulting which specialized in the wine business. She
spent her last year at Benchmark Consulting as the Interim Managing Director after the firm's Managing Partner passed away in 2005. Carrie assumed the role of lead recruiter, business development
director, PR and marketing coordinator, while managing a staff of five. Prior to her positions at
Benchmark, Carrie received a BA in Business
Administration with a Human Resources emphasis
from Sonoma State University followed by an
internship as an HR Assistant at Legacy
Marketing Group in Petaluma, CA.

Laura Ferracane
joined
Herrerias & Associates in February 2006 as a
Senior Associate. Prior to her affiliation
with H&A, Laura had her own Human Resources
consulting practice where she provided HR
expertise to such companies as Ask Jeeves,
Pillsbury Winthrop, APL and Yoga Journal.
Laura was the previous HR Director for Deloitte
& Touche in San Francisco, an international
public accounting and consulting firm cited by
Fortune Magazine as one of the "100 Best
Companies to work for" due to their HR
practices. Laura holds a B.S. degree in
Human Resources Management from DePaul
University in Chicago.

Lisa
Gunther-DePhillips
joined Herrerias & Associates in October 2006.
Lisa
previously spent three years at Barclays Global
Investors as both Executive Assistant to the CFO
and as a Travel Manager in their Travel
Department. Previously, she was an Account
Executive at Sierra Pacific Mortgage in their
Wholesale Banking Group and a West Account Team
Coordinator for A.T. Kearney. Lisa
received her BA in Communications Studies from
California State University, Sacramento which
she followed with an internship for Governor
Pete Wilson's campaign. She then spent 2
years as Assistant to the Chief Deputy
Legislative Secretary in the California State
Governor’s office where she liaised
between constituency/legislature/lobbyists on
behalf of the Governor’s office.

Danielle
S. Herrerias has over 15 years
experience in industry managing projects in real
estate, mortgage banking, development and
planning. Her functional areas of expertise
include: project management, marketing, market
research and feasibility analysis. Ms. Herrerias
is currently the Director of Research at
Herrerias & Associates.
Ms. Herrerias is an accomplished technical
writer. She has written training manuals and
given seminars on the subjects of
market-feasibility analysis and long-term
financing options, and developed a quarterly
report summarizing the San Francisco Bay Area's
apartment market.
Ms. Herrerias holds a Master's degree from
Harvard's Kennedy School of Government with a
concentration in real estate development and
finance. She earned her B.A. at Stanford
University in physical sciences and is a
licensed California Real Estate Broker.

Mary
Richardson enjoys a background in
Organization Development, Education and Human
Resource Management. She joined Herrerias &
Associates to lead the Human Resources
Recruiting and Organization Development
practices. Mary has worked with clients and
organizations to define competencies and skills
for success, assess the organization and
individuals for those skills, and develop
strategies for improving them. With a focus on
the functional areas of Human Resources and
Organization Development, Mary assists clients
in building their executive team. Internally,
Mary manages Herrerias & Associates' continuing
education program.
Prior to Herrerias & Associates, Mary was
Director of Education for SOLA International.
She has served as adjunct faculty at Sonoma
State in the psychology department, teaching
Conflict Resolution, Training and Development,
and Marriage and Relationship, and has managed
her own consulting firm for the past 15 years.
Mary holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in
Comparative Literature from Columbia University,
and a Master of Arts in Psychology/Organization
Development from Sonoma State University.

Anne E. Taylor
joined Herrerias &
Associates as a research associate. She is
returning to the workforce after an 8-year
hiatus spent raising her 2 boys and chairing
many of her children's school fundraisers.
Prior to being a "Mom," Anne was a Vice
President/Relationship and Sales Manager at
Scudder Stevens and Clark in San Francisco, a
financial asset management firm now a division
of Deutsche Bank. Anne attended both Central
Washington University and University of
Massachusetts where she completed coursework in
business.
